God VS The Universe!

Is God a supreme being?  Is God a personification of the forces that act upon us that are not understood?  Does it really matter?

Either way, God is big and powerful.  How big and powerful?  Well, let’s forget the arguments about the age of the Earth.  Besides, if God created everything in 6 days, what was He revolving around to constitute a day?

Ok, so let’s say God created everything in 6 days.  How much was actually created?

Well, here’s a fascinating short video that gives us our deepest glimpse into knowing the grand scope of things, by looking into part of the universe that is about the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length:

God sure had a busy week!

But wait, it talks about galaxies.  How big is a galaxy?

Well, in the Milky Way galaxy, where we are, it is estimated that there are about 100,000,000,000 stars.  One hundred billion stars.  In one galaxy.  (see the link for my information source)

Apparently, researchers estimate that there may be 170,000,000,000 galaxies.  170 billion galaxies!  Some with more stars than ours, some with less.  Remember, our sun is one star.

The following video suggests there is quite possibly more than 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in the universe.  And for all we know, our universe might even be just one of many!

So, there you go.  How big and powerful is God?  Unimaginably big and powerful!

And with that many stars, I’ll let you draw your own conclusions as to the chances of there being other civilizations out there similar to humanity.  It’s really too much to truly understand.  That’s why it’s easier to just believe that it all is how it should be.  God, or the Great Outward Directions, have taken care of business for us.  It’s our job to honour all of that great work!
